"Doraemon" / "SPEC~Ten~" / "Bokura ga Ita"
As expected last week, “
SPEC~Ten~“, “
Titanic 3D” and “
The Artist” rearranged the top 10 of the weekend box office chart, with
SPEC~Ten~ even pushing “
Doraemon” from the top.
“
SPEC~Ten~“, starring
Toda Erika and
Kase Ryo,
opened on 279 screens and made it onto the top position for the weekend
chart. It was seen by 351,473 people and recorded a revenue of
468,705,300 Yen (5.75 million USD). Looking at this result, the big goal
for this movie should be to crack revenues of 3 billion Yen (36.86
million USD).
“
Doraemon: Nobita and the Island of Miracles ~Animal Adventure~“,
which had to step down to second after being on the top for five
consecutive weekends, already cracked the 3 billion Yen mark and
recorded over 3,000,000 viewers. While “
Bokura ga Ita Zenpen” is currently at half of that with 1,500,000 viewers.
The 3D version of the epic “
Titanic” opened in at
fourth place and attracted 50,971 people (470 screens). Its revenue
totals up to 86,925,000 Yen (1.06 million USD).
The seventh position featured the opening of the third new and award-winning French movie “
The Artist“.
